Future Leaders

Future Leaders + was a rewarding challenge that I had the opportunity to complete throughout 2017. I participated in many different elements of the program, including mentoring younger students, and planning and completing two trips. The second trip, shown in the image, was overseas in New Zealand. It was an incredible experience that required copious amounts of planning and preparing to safely and enjoyably complete. Training walks were undertaken to ensure the group's fitness level exceeded what was necessary. This made the walk more enjoyable, as we could focus on the scenery and amazing views around us. The completion of the walk was really challenging, with long day’s hiking up many mountains, but I am extremely glad I went and got to experience with an amazing group of people.
